Area of Expertise
Professor Lentz’s academic background is quite varied, which makes the study of dress and all that it entails that much more interesting to her. Her main research area is the social psychology of dress, specifically focusing on an individual’s major life changes and how dress figures into one’s experience. Other areas of research include professional development in the apparel industry, gender and sub-cultural studies, branding, consumer behavior, and the history of costume.
